CMCP-VALVE Rotary Potentiometer Valve
Position Sensor |
|
  |
Features:
|
|
The working
component of the CMCP-VALVE valve position transmitter is a precision
long-life rotary potentiometer. Attached to the end of the steam valve
control shaft on a large steam turbine, the Valve Position Transducer
provides a voltage proportional to the valve’s position. The Valve Position
Transducer is directly compatible with the CMCP-549 Valve Position
Transmitter, which provides excitation voltage and outputs a 4-20 mA analog
signal proportionate to the percentage of valve opening.
The output shaft is supported with a rolling-element bearing pressed into
the housing. The output shaft is connected to the potentiometer with a
torsionally rigid flex-coupling. This coupling compensates for minor offset
and/or angular misalignment, thereby reducing lateral loading on the
potentiometer. |
